Formation: Circle of 6 couples, ladies on partners right.

Numbering: 1,2,3,4,5,6 anticlockwise around set Tops = 1,3,5 Sides = 2,4,6

Introduction, Honour partner and corner gracefully

Top Couples Waltz the Set once around

Turn lady into place and bow/curtsey

Side Couples Waltz the set, finishing with bow and curtsey

Top men step in and face partners on last 2 bars.

Slip Step Arches 4 slip steps sideways

Side couples make 2 hand arch and move clockwise,

Top Couples join hands and move anticlockwise under arches

Waltz to place with Tops on inside, Sides on outside

Slip Step Arches in opposite direction and Waltz to place

Top Couples RH Star and LH Star

Men lead partners by RH into centre to make star

Side Couples RH Star and LH Star

Top Ladies Chain 4 times with Top men to reach new partner

Ladies turn out (Clockwise under right hands) into deep bow/curtsey.

Notes:

  1. In the dance the ladies change position, men keep same position.
  2. When not dancing, couples stand with inside hands joined, lady’s hand resting on her partner’s hand at waist height.
