Dance for 3 couples in a 4 couple set. (ie 1s with 2s and 3s, then 1s with 3s and 4s)

Introduction

3 Ladies or Men Circle Left/Right -
3 men join hands to form a circle, 3 ladies join hands to form a circle

1st couple lead down/back, finish facing 1st corners.
With RH joined, 1st couple dance down the set for 4 bars, turn (without changing places), 2nd couple step up to 1st place, and 1st couple dance back up the set to finish back to back with each other, 1st man facing 3rd lady, 1st lady facing 2nd man, in a diagonal line.

Set/Turn 1st corner
the 4 dancers set, then turn, the person they are facing, with 2 hands, once around.
Finish with the corners back in place and 1st couple back to back, facing 2nd corner.
ie. 1st man facing 2nd lady, 1st lady facing 3rd man.

Set/Turn 2nd corner the 4 dancers set to each other and turn with 2 hands.
Finish with 1st couple in 2nd place opposite side facing 1st corner along the side.

Reel of 3
The 1st couple each with their 2 corners, dance a reel of 3 along the side of the set,
start by passing their 1st corner by Left shoulder.
Corners finish in place.

Cross to place
(Note: every 2nd time :Cross down ie. 1s cross down to 4th place, 4s step up.)
1st couple cross to original side giving RH.
Original 1st couple is now in 2nd place.

The dance sequence is repeated with couples 3 and 4 adopting the roles danced by couples 2 and 3.
In the last 2 bars of each couple's 2nd sequence, that dancing couple crosses down to 4th place in the set as the previous 4th couple steps up to 3rd place ready to dance (circles) as the 3rd couple for the new 1st couple.
